Our little chefs prepared their chef hats then cooked meals for their classmates as we played restaurant and took turns playing the roles of chef, wait staff and patron. We also enjoyed some science activities learning about the power of air inside an orange to keep it afloat in water until it becomes peeled then it sinks!
We built a giant pizza as well as personal pizzas this week by adding various toppings both to promote our creativity as well as math skills! Our sprinkles on top of some of our ice cream cones were another way for us to promote fine motor skills by using clothes pins as well as spoons with foam paint to bring our art to life!
Just like our preschoolers, this week we hope you can find images of all that is talked about in this blog. Our preschoolers sorted out pictures of food, searched the classroom for foods that started with certain sounds and letters and cut up pictures of foods to separate vegetables from fruits from snacks, etc.
All this week while we enjoyed preparing, painting with, sorting, patterning, and finding foods our families registered for preschool for next year. We are now full for the 2020-2021 school year and have a waiting list in full affect as well. We look forward to having many of our preschoolers back next year along with many of their siblings and brand new faces to our program too.
What's Coming Up?
