Magic in Preschool

Disney magic is always a favorite thing to share with children and we had a great time bringing various movies and shows to life with our Disney activities this week.

After viewing these photos please feel free to share them with your child and ask about what they remember doing.  You will usually hear things about how fun something is or a memory they associate a conversation about that movie with but it is through these fun activities in and conversations that learning it taking place.  We love to watch them love to learn and the best learning is when it is done without realizing they are learning!  To the children, they are just having fun!

Happy viewing!

Olaf Lanterns!

 Helping characters find their way!

Building characters and robots and castles from our favorite films!

Playing the hero!

 Here comes Winnie the Pooh!

After learning about the balloons in the movie 'Up' we added balloons to pictures of the house from that movie using out dot markers.

The children used Disney themed stickers on large background images to create stories as a group and then told their stories to the teachers and their classmates.

We worked on some Dalmatian math by reading numbers on a dice then adding that many dots to a blank image of a dog turning it into a Dalmatian.

After making Dalmatians we created Mike from the Monsters Inc. movie.

We made Moana's volcano creation for some fun science time!

Then went fishing for Nemo and friends!

We read a few books these Disney classics were based on and build Olaf with shaving cream and glue.  It was a magical week!

What's Coming Up?
After fall break we will be jumping into the area of jobs and community helpers.  The children will be talking about what they want to be when they grow up, what adults in their lives do for work and what they can do now to help their family through chores and other age appropriate activities.
