Happy Holidays from Pirate Pete

Our last week of preschool this semester was filled with learning about holidays celebrated by people from all sorts of backgrounds!  We drew Santa lists, mixed up snow, decorated Christmas trees with our finger prints, collected tiny toys for Santa's sack, created pine trees out of words and numbers, and learned about mixing colors.

Our stories this week had to do with holidays and learning about friendship and family in this holiday season.  Some of our books had a bit of magic in them as well!
We threw snowballs at snowmen towers and targets and learned about the Menorah and the candles placed and lit on it during Hanukah.  We played the dreidel game and learned how to spin the top with our pincher grasp.

We learned about a lot of science experiments dealing with color and temperatures and how to create various things out of other things.  We made it snow in jars filled with sparkles and magic!
We are so grateful to all of our pirate families who make it possible for us to learn together.  Thank you all so much for being a part of Pirate Pete Preschool!  We hope you have a fantastic winter break and will see you in January for orientation on TUESDAY, the 21st.  We will be emailing you when we get back from winter break the week of January 6th with more details.
Enjoy these last few photos from our fantastic day of preschool with Santa Claus!  We hope you enjoy your gifts from the big guy and have a special place to hang your ornaments.

What's Coming Up?
